Consolidation consists of putting an adhesive between the raised layers and the portions that support the raised layers.
In order to do this, it is necessary to determine the origin and the cause of the adhesive rupture. This knowledge allows us to choose the best adhesive for the job. Adhesives are diverse and varied, characterized by their adhesive power, viscosity, surface tension, and molecule size.
For certain operations, it is necessary to use a solution. Others will require an emulsion.
Consolidation can be local or general. The front or back of a work can be involved, depending on the degree of raising and its position.
